Dampierre en YVELINES Castle

Built by MANSART (eighteenth century) for the Duke of Luynes was one of the favourite places of Queen Marie LECZINSKA. One can admire the "golden age" of INGRES and "Penelope asleep" Cavelier (1848) .
Gardens have been designed around a lake have been LENOTRE.
The castle still belongs to the family of Luynes who let it be visited, from April to October,. They have opened a gourmet restaurant "Les écuries du château" ("the stables of the castle"). Winter is reserved for hunting.

Breteuil castle

BRETEUIL Castle at Choisel was completely restored by by the actual Marquis and his wife. Here you can see the amazing table of TESCHEN (1779) and around forty characters wax that tell the history of the castle and the characters in tales of Perrault. Many sort of activites (storyteller, festivals) are held throughout the year and it worst visiting the gardens with the maze of the Millennium. They also rent conference rooms ("Orangerie" castle) for receptions.

DAMPIERRE EN YVELINES

Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional de la Haute Vallée de Chevreuse, DAMPIERRE EN YVELINES is a charming village of 1065 inhabitants.
Surrounded by the forest of Rambouillet, it offers all sorts of leisure activities: hiking (the famous Vaux Cernay with the Abbey, the GR 11 which passes neat the cottage), VTT (rental in the town : Leisure MTB), fishing ( in the castle and the pond "des roches": fly fishing), golf (several routes within 12 km: the National where the Open takes place in France, Rochefort, Forges les bains etc.). There are 7 king of restaurants in the village and it goes from the bistro til a sophisticated restaurant.

This cottage of 65m², located on ground floor in front of the garden of a ancient house, completely renovated, is situated in the center of the village and it has:

• one beautiful living room,
• a fully equipped kitchen,
• 2 large bedrooms (one with twin beds, plus one extra bed for children, the other with a double sofa bed, each with closet),
• a bathroom with w-c.

You have all you might need in the kitchen: plates, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.
There is also a washing machine and a dryer.
The garden is completely enclosed by walls, with a private shed to store bikes or strollers.
